His father built a great company that has the respect of Oregonians being one of the top remodeling firms not only here but in the entire nation. Today my jaw dropped reading his gushing love letter concerning Kate Brown, our Governor who fell for Measure 97 and endorsed it. Kelly writes in his column, "I am surprised to hear repeated criticism that Brown is lacking leadership. I have begun to wonder: Are we holding Kate Brown to an unfair, double standard?"
My love letter to Tom Kelly:
After the Kitzslobber affair and slugging through that messy run, Brown got my attention as a hard worker and trying to keep her nose clean. I agreed with little of her vision, but allowed myself to give her time as she faces the tough & demanding job running Oregon. Then came her confession that she supports the biggest Ponzi-pyramid scheme ever to murder the boom we have been experiencing. Tom, do you care about the Seniors on fixed incomes that will be stuck every month paying more for everything from power to groceries, including, car insurance, home insurance, pharmaceuticals goods and services and more? Tom, how about companies like Powell's Books that have no clue how they will even operate due to low margins and paying on GROSS SALES. Tom, you know what GROSS sales are right? Tom, any idea what 32,000 Oregonians will be doing when they lose their jobs? I'm shocked what I read this morning in The Oregonian. I'm only glad that it was printed on an off day and maybe 100 paper junkies had to read it. Keep selling remodeling jobs, if this passes, you will be wondering why the phone doesn't ring. This endorsement by Brown is suicide for Oregon and you know it.
