Ann Rule is the best non-fiction crime writer in the world and I have been glued to the story of (Oregonian) Randall Woodfield who was an award winning star athlete and drafted by the Green Bay Packers. He also cruised the I-5 and preyed on at least 44 victims. Chris Van Dyke was the District Attorney in Salem and helped the team of detectives nail him! The book is a total page turner. Chris Van Dyke served Oregon for eight years as DA and left office for a top position at Nike. Today Van Dyke is the CEO of "Nau" which sells outdoor apparel.
I remember he was a very well respected DA! Not the typical child of a famous star!

Another good addition to the library.

Chris Van Dyke lived in my neighborhood here in Salem. I saw him out in public more than I saw a couple of our governors.

I read this book years ago...like more than 20 years ago. I think it was originally released in Rule's series of books attributed to Andy Stack.
Rule wrote as Andy Stack because it was thought nobody would buy a female crime writer. A lot they knew back then because Rule is "the best non-fiction crime writer in the world..." She has proved that over and over.
