We had Kaiser insurance when I was a kid. In fact, I was born in the Kaiser hospital in Vancouver WA since Bess Kaiser wasn't built yet. My parents took us to the grand opening of Bess Kaiser! Yes! Back in those days everyone had grand openings, even hospitals.

My mom died there in 1974. My parents had Kaiser health insurance for years, and while it was really good in California, I thought it was horrid up here. Still do.

I was born in this hospital in 1974. My mom worked there from the late 70s to the late 80s before transferring to a clinic in Vancouver. Cool to see what it looked like when it was built! Thanks for sharing this pic!
