Some vocal group "aficianados" believe THE ORIOLES with lead vocalist SONNY TIL, to be Doo-wop's Big Bang (about 1948). How ever you look at it, they sure were cool & sexy for their day, blowing other vocal bands like THE INK SPOTS out of the water. One of THE ORIOLES other huge hits, was "CRYIN' IN THE CHAPEL" later covered by ELVIS & others. This version of "WHAT ARE YOU DOING NEW YEARS EVE?" is still one of the best. Mr Stumpman & Dirty Dave, thank-you so much for sharing this with us...Happy New Year !
