Obozo should read up on leadership, he might learn there is no such thing as leading from the rear. But that's where he'll be "leading" from for the next four years unless, of course, after the massive Republican victories of 2014 Obozo and Bitemyass are impeached.

In 1960 the top tax rate was 91%. Today it is 35%.

Yes Fred, it was but there were so many exemptions, exclusions and other bookkeeping tricks that no one, and I mean no one, paid anywhere near 91 percent. If you've been paying attention you'll know that what Republicans are trying to do is make the tax system more straight forward.

JFK was never faced with such debt and a languishing economy so that quotation lacks context today.
Two unfunded wars is what drove the surplus into heavy deficit, something that didn't happen in WWII or the Vietnam wars which were paid for as they progressed.
Now, its time to pay the bill, otherwise the costs of ANY borrowing will become staggering if the US bond ratings suffer from a downgrade.

JFK would be more at home as a Republican if he had those same policies today as back then.
Can anyone imagine any Dem calling the Soviet's bluff like JFK did over Cuba?
