Excellent words, Dave.

Tragic & sad don't begin to describe what happened yesterday. To happen at the holidays makes it that much worse. May the coward that did this already be on a special, permanent, extra hot burner in hell.

I agree Rich... no words can truly describe what happened yesterday. Even if we didn't KNOW the victims personally, this will affect all of us. It is terrifying, and humbling, to realize that this can happen even in our little Portland town. We will never truly understand brings a person to the point of such destruction, and I'm never happy when someone kills themselves, but in this case, it was the right thing for him to do. It was just a little too late. I hope we rally together, and not turn this into an argument about gun laws... because whatever the law is, there will be crazies who will break it, and what happened yesterday will NEVER be legalized...

This touched me here in The Heartland too, as it did to all Americans. Dave, so sorry for the loss of your friend.

Too sad for words Dave. He always had a big happy smile no matter what was going on. What a good natured guy, and a loving father. I am praying for his family. He was a good one.

Steve was my mentor at Entercom. He was a special person and loved his family more than anyone I ever knew.
