This great shop with unusual gifts has been in Washington Square for over thirty years. The word from the staff is the mall gave them the notice they wanted national names and will not extend the lease. I lived half my life in malls and would not go back if they offered FREE rent. The Maceridge Corp (faceless mall mega giants) would not even offer the opportumity to discuss a new lease. This tells me they have a national chain that has already offered them ridiculous money for that corner. Shameful! When the mall was owned by Safeco Insurance Company they welcomed strong independents so the center would have options other than the same names you see in every major regional mall. That tune sure has changed. With the costs involved, its impossible to make any money in these whore houses of retail. They are the worst leeches on earth.

EVIL MALL DEVELOPER TELLS A LOCAL TO GET LOST
This great shop with unusual gifts has been in Washington Square for over thirty years. Yeah Lisa, we need to condemn all of corporate America because of the actions of one company. As everyone knows all corporations are totally evil and as Obozo told us they kill people.

I looked up the website of Washington Square's owner and it is Macerich not Maceridge.
