These days a blighted chain hotel litters the prom. They need to tear down that sad 80's atrocity (Shilo) and put something worthy on that prime space.

As achild I swam there at the NATATORIUM. There was also one in Rockaway Beach.

The charm of the Turnaround is also ruined by the gigantic Time Share Condo building that is on the southside of Broadway. The sun is blocked from the side walk most hours of the day during summer as well.
