And behind it all, Tom Dargan. In those days station managers and the Oregonian's Fred Stickel led the community. Remember when stations were brave enough to run editorials?

Yes, they were the best local team ever.
I get sick of all of the current TV news infotainers.
They giggle back and forth like little children.
Journalists my ass.
Please, just the facts.
Lose the phony 'personalities'.

Well, Kathy Smith was great. Dick Ross was old and Tom McCall looks drunk. As for the rest of the team...eh.
