Buddy Holly and his line up of pioneers of rock n roll died in a small aircraft crash on this day in 1959. The Big Boppers son never believed the story and had his dads casket brought up to take a look. It was the first time he ever met his Dad.

very sad day in music history for sure! thanks mr. stump for posting this as im sure many of us forget the exact day, and thanks for restoring our forum, great job all around!
