More corporate defections to foreign lands because of our highest-in-the-world corporate tax rate.

Selling a division of GE may make sense to the bean counters, but selling the company Logo boarders on criminal. The these are probably the same idiots that sold their battery business (1990) when the use of batteries was expanding exponentially. Maybe this is why the performance of their stock has been stagnant.

Actual advertising slogan in Great Britain: "Nothing sucks like an Electrolux."

please spare us the wingnut highest tax rates in world rubbish. It's a dead horse that only the low informed keep swallowing. The across the board "effective" rate is in the low twenties and for the largest of the trans-nationals that domicile in the US it's ZERO. . got it? ZERO. On the books it's 35%, but ONLY on the books. If you are a corporation in this country of any size at all and you're paying the going rate you have an incompetent accounting firm or you're just plain lazy.

Really nothing new here and GE got $3.3 billion for essentially nothing but "Blue Sky." AB Electrolux already owns the American brands Electrolux and Frigidaire. GE has been selling various parts of its brand for a long time.

Really John, if US taxes are so low, why do American corps keep moving out of the country? Oh yeah, that's right, obozo says it's because they are unpatriotic.
