Commenting again because not sure first comment was received. My brother, David Orkney, longtime CEO of G.I. Joe's, gave me this photo. It appears in my book, "Growing Up With G.I. Joe's" on page 76. I believe that I have the copyright on it. Where did you get the photo?

I remember when it was a military/army surplus store and you could get all kinds of neat left over WWII stuff!

Janna: I have no clue where it came from. I have over 25,000 photos of Portland history, over the years readers send them, I buy them on ebay, find them on searches. I have no revenue from this web site, never had, never will so theres no benefit to me. If you do not want Stumptown readers to see it I will remove it.

Had great memories of this store. Why would anyone not want this to be seen?

Mr. Stump, thank you for your reply. I am happy to have you share the photo of the parking lot of Store 2, I was just surprised to see it because I thought it had only been published in "Growing Up With G.I. Joe's."
