I can't remember the name of the duo, but they were regulars in the Monte Carlo bar for a long, long time. A hot "girl" singer and a guy with a huge bank of keyboards and a drum machine.

When I was dating a gal named Joann (a Cleveland alum Dave), we used to spend a lot of time at the Monte Carlo. Her family's business was just around the corner. Every time the duo played a slow song we hit the dance floor for much disgusting PDA.

Great place for dinner on Belmont. The go-to place for lunch
was two or three doors up the street--the Lido. Wonderful
businessman's lunch. All you can eat Italian soup and French bread or a platter of spaghetti for 99 cents.
The greatest!

And the great pizza with square cut pieces. Mmmmm. And the land is still an open lot?

They had that little store front restaurant that was open during the day. The walls were painted with images of old Italy. The best, and the biggest bowl of minestrone soup that a high school kid could afford.

wow, has it really been 17 years? I don't get out that way much whats there now? another restraunt?

Believe Market of Choice opened there around June 1 last month.
