I bought my first real tape recorder at Hunter's TV & Music in the summer of 1969 for $125. Wow, that seemed like a lot of money then. It was a five-inch reel to reel and gave me about four years of enjoyment. When it finally conked out I had 40-50 tapes filled with music from KISN, KGW and KINK. Yes, it's true. I was one of those home tapers who helped kill the music business long before Napster.
