This is SE Tacoma & SE 13th looking West. The Chevron station on the SW corner, and the possibly the Piggly Wiggly building is now part of the Sellwood New Seasons store.

I might be wrong but I'd say SE 13th and Tacoma?

I think this is 82nd and Washington, facing west. Currently one way on Washington and Chevron still there as well as budget that was formerly Piggly Wiggly.

Sellwood! SE 13th & Tacoma. The gas station is long gone, but the Piggly Wiggly is now a New Seasons. Great shot!

When I worked at KLIQ -- which was just down the street in Oaks Park -- I went through this intersection often. Cleveland High School girlfriend DB's grandparents lived just down the street on Marion where we watched the first moon landing.
Another gal I went out with once asked me to take her to the Piggly Wiggly where she pushed a cart around the store while stuffing a bunch of groceries into her pants. I was sure we were going to get caught but she walked out of the store no problem. I took her back to her house and she dropped her pants and pulled about 20 bucks worth of stock out of her panties.

hey joel, 20 dollars at Piggly Wiggly would have been a couple of shopping carts full back in the day, how big were those panties ???

I guess you're right Gent. She stuffed a couple of steaks in there along with some smaller items. I estimated a little high based on today's prices
