Thank's to Roger Hart who sent me this photo that I had never seen....(From left) Whitey Coker, Tiger Tom Murphy, Tom Michaels and Roger Hart. Whitey & Tom Micheals are in 91derful heaven...and Kisn was tanked by the owners kid (Entercom)....for a mindless format with no creativity, thought, features or benefits. Such a shame the 91 survivors could not be on the air reminiscing of the great radio days at Goodguy Central. We would of heard O'brien, Murphy, Roger, Jim Meeker, Roger W Morgan, Pat Pattee and others. We all would of been glued to hear the million dollar weekend of all weekends. It is ironic that not only will we not be enjoying that, but the destruction of what remains of Kool & KHits as of this week. I will stick to Cousin Brucie on my Sirus Radio.
The photo was taken 1997 at the KISN Summer Goodbye show at the Oaks.
Radio Sucks today.

Wasn't Mr Whitey Coker the first radio newsman to report from Viet Nam during the war effort?

There will never be another Kisn and the loyalty of the listenership, especially in the 1960's.
