I REMEMBER WHEN LORNE GREENE APPEARED AT RON TONKIN CHEVROLET

Famous for playing Mr. Cartwright on Bonanza, he spent a day at Ron's store out 122nd way doing a meet & greet. The radio was filled with spots promoting the event with the Bonanza theme music in the background. 

BARTS DRIVE INN ON 50TH & SE FOSTER

They could of filmed many movies at Bart's, including American Graffiti. This landmark burger joint went away too soon.

The popular Jewelers of the past designed what were called "Bowling Alley" stores. A long stretch of entry, massive window display out front that showed the best of their wares on the street, and the service area all the way to the back of the store. This photo was taken at O'Korber's (Home of the blue white diamond") on Washington St before they moved to Alder where Ross Dress For Less is today.
