THE HIGHEST PAID WOMAN IN 1949...BETTY GRABLE

 

Betty Grable, with $208,000 in movie deals was the highest paid woman in 1949. Today Cameron Diaz makes that just to show up at her trailer! When it came to the CEO's and Executives in America, Charles Skouras who owned most of the movie theaters took down $810,000 and he was the highest paid person in the country! Henry Ford II made $200,000 as president of Ford Motor Co. Vincent Rigio Pres of American Tobacco was paid $484,200.

Sixty One years later our Government allows thieving Banksters on Wall Street to rip off the American people and break our economy at the tune of BILLIONS.

PS: On a side note, Betty Grable, the nations highest paid woman was quoted "After I pay my taxes at the tune of almost 80% I take care of my horses on my ranch" .......Grable and her husband Harry James owned eight race horses and a breeding farm in Calabasas California.

But Max was one of a kind.

CHANGES IN BURBANK ON THE LENO "TONIGHT" SHOW

Although Leno will be using the same Burbank set constructed for his prime-time show, the move back to 11:35 means some changes. He'll be getting to the monologue faster, cutting the time he shakes hands with members of the audience. He'll again be sitting behind a desk. John Melendez, still on staff as a writer, will not return as announcer. And bandleader Kevin Eubanks is officially a short-timer.

Eubanks, with Leno since 1995, agreed to stick around for a transition period, but an NBC statement confirmed his imminent departure from the show: Kevin has expressed interest in pursuing personal touring and recording opportunities; however, he will be with the show when it returns.

A FILM THAT WAS MISSED! REALLY GREAT....5 STARS

 We bought this one on Comcast demand and it was a gem. Highly recommend this terrific movie where the entire cast shines. Great music as well.
