Wow....Has this changed for the better! During the 40's Cannon Beach was the little berg and Seaside was the force for beach travelers.

Nice picture! I grew up in Astoria and spent a lot of time up and down the coast, and I can remember when Cannon Beach looked not too different from that photo. How I wish Cannon Beach could have remained the sleepy little place it was in my youth. I never did like Seaside; I still don't. The fireworks on the 4th was about the only time my mom would let us be there. How things have changed on the North Coast
That looks like the south part of Cannon Beach on Hemlock Street, the main drag, near Tolovana Park. Facing north. Nice picture indeed; thanks for posting it!
