I loved this every year.

Count the picture...multiply the number by $1,000.00 and it will give you an idea of why Don Burden and his amazing sales machine were so successful. One day's business...on a day when most other radio stations "played dead", and Star Stations added about $50,000.00 in revenue for EACH station! That's $150,000 for a one-day, silly promotion!!!

As a jock at KISN, we never knew most of the business people who bought their 15 minutes of fame. I remember all too well when one of them sat down and we quickly went over the "drill" before opening the mic for his initial comments. He seemed calm, cool and collected. I opened his mic and he calmly said, "All of us over at 62 KGW wish you KISN Good Guys a happy April Fool's Day". One of their jocks had infiltrated the inpenatrable walls of KISN! Burden and his sales team took these promotions very seriously. That incident was the very reason that you see photos of EACH of the "replacements". Prior to that event, we knew only their names.

gr8t story

Good example of a radio promotion! Some great creative sales minds back then.

ANY CHANCE OF GETTING THE NAMES OF THE "FILL INS"?
WOULD BE INTERESTING TO SEE "WHO" AND WHO STILL
MIGHT BE AROUND!

I agree! My husband and I both tried to read the names and to see if we recognized them. The only one we saw, with the use of a magnifier, was Bud Meadows.

The resolution of the photo/scan is not good enough. Expanding it reveals that it needs higher resolution. It is just pixels. Using Photoshop and some knowledge you could guess at some.
