Ah...KGON of the 70s.
The studio used to be in a small building
off of Johnson Rd near Clackamas.

I remember well.
The only sponsors they had were
record stores, head shops, and the like.
No huge corporate sponsors.

I believe the announcer at the end was the late Dick Sheets (A great voice)!

Remember when a DJ hanged himself in studio on Johnson. Record played was "Softly as I leave you"

Bookster - If memory serves me correct -- The person you are referring to worked (sister station) all nights at the AM Station KYXI - not KGON.

KGON has a new phone app where if you text them they will send you the last 3 songs that they just played. Call me crazy, but if the people who listen to that station don't know the same songs that they have been playing daily for 30 years well I don't know what to say.

It was beautiful music station KYXI down the hall from KGON.

That was a great parody ad - just as funny as the actual "Schudwiller Beer" ad was.
