Radio people in town are all wondering when the big explosion is going to blow due to a high powered mucky muck hitting on the gals......At the Timbers big opener, Sam the Sham Adams was loudly booed when introduced. I guess soccer fans are smarter than I thought.....Rave reviews are everywhere for "Roost" located on Belmont.....Telephones are out, cell phones are in with many Portland households having only a cell at home, 26.6% to be exact.....At one time it was San Francisco's finest hotel on Nob Hill. The Fairmount is now exploring the idea of turning the historic hotel into condos. When the Swig family sold it to the Saudis it was the end. Need a deal on your Oregonian subscription? Talk about a turnaround on air! Carl Click was a talking head at KGW, today Carl co-hosts the early morning news on Katu where he shines with Natalie at the anchor desk. They have the chemistry and it really shows. I watched their broadcast for a solid hour and was very impressed.
