Jerry Lee Lewis, veteran rock-and-roll singer/songwriter who married his 13-year-old cousin in 1957, has said "I do" to another member of his extended family.
Lewis tied the knot - for the seventh time - with Judith Brown on March 9 in Natchez, Miss., according to CNN. Brown was previously married to Lewis' cousin Rusty Brown.
The 76-year-old singer is known for his hit singles "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On" and "Great Balls of Fire." Though, after he married his 13-year-old cousin Myra Gale Brown when he was 23, the scandal stalled his career.
Well, Judith Brown was only a member of the family by marriage...so she's just found another way to marry in.
Myra Gale was Lewis' third cousin (twice removed.) Heck, most of us don't even know our third cousin and could marry them without a clue. Myra Gale's age (13) is another thing to most of us but where Jerry Lee came from -- eastern Louisiana -- 13 was a prime marrying age for female. In fact, in eastern Louisiana marrying your third cousin was no big deal.
