THE STORY BEHIND THE FINAL RECORD PLAYED ON KISN

 

On the final broadcast of Kisn-Am (Sept 2, 1976) the final song selected was the tune featured above by The Animals. Kisn owner Don W. Burden called in on the hot line to hear the sign off. He inquired about which song was going to air. He had a screaming fit and demanded that another song be played. Even though Someday We'll be Together Again by the Supremes was aired earlier in the evening, it was played again as the final song played on the original Kisn. The FCC pulled the plug on the transmitter before the record was finished. Bastards.
