and yet another vancouver landmark goes away!

Was lucky enough to be asked to sing the National Anthem. the blazers were playing the nets and as usual the house was sold out and they were also being viewed at the Paramount to a sold out crowd. SCARY. I thought I would be singing in the stands, since I hadn't been to a game for a long time. Wally Scales met up with me, took me to courtside, gave me a mike and pointed to center court. "That's where you'll sing it" GULP! So that's where I went, knees shaking, but I sang it. After the last note, I looked up and Jack was walking toward me, shook my hand and said "GREAT JOB SINGING, WELL DONE!" I thanked him very much and walked off the floor. One of life's Great Memories, a once in a life time experience. having this great man compliment me. I will never forget his kindness and his humanity.
