The mob did a much better job at running a casino than the corporations do now. The little bit of the mob's "skimming" was chump change compared to the huge rake corporate executives take off the top.
The corporations that run casinos today could teach the mob a thing or two about how to make sure the "taste of the action" became a huge bite.
At least the mob appreciated their workers and their customers.
