Didn't Kirk also work for KYXI during its all-news days? And what ever happened to Linda Coyle? Wasn't she Kirk's paramour he moved to Hawaii with?

On a side note: Contrast and compare the KGW ad with what it would look like today. Then -- All of two women, sports guy prominently displayed, young guys with long hair. Now -- At least half the pictures (probably more) would be women, there would be a possible mention that they also provide 90 seconds of sports, old guys and young guys with similar length hair.

Yes, Joel, Kirk was one of those who started all-news KYXI, along with Paul Hanson, Harry
Christensen, Gary Johnson, George Harris, Benny Marsh, Pat Palmer, Chuck Knopf, Neal Penland, and me, among others. Oh, the inside stories of those days!
