Good Friday to all Stumpies….What was the most important and dynamic media building in Oregon will be revised by a new media craze taking the place of newspapers. Amazon will occupy over 100,000 feet of space on Broadway which was known as The Oregonian Building on Broadway. It is a sure sign that the new media barons are taking over the world. The iconic building will house Amazon's media offices and production facilities. They want to crush Netflicks in a bad way. Jeff Bezos should buy the fading Oregonian, he pulled it off in Washington DC buying The Post. 

In the quest for Stumptowns best burger, I received over 90 emails with solid recommendations, many I have never tried. Scott Lesser over at Antenna TV begged me to try The Fireside Grill on Hall Blvd. It was outstanding! If you haven't tried this cool haunt, do it soon. The staff told me their turkey sandwich is just like the day after Thanksgiving. Will report on that soon. In the Email box were over 20 thumbs up for a place called Trifecta located at 726 SE 6th Ave. They are open only for dinner. Of course Skyline Burger was being praised and rightfully so. Stanich's on Fremont with over a dozen votes and Giant Burger in Lake Grove is dearly loved after all these years.

Remember the days a candidate running for the big office on Penn Ave had to be likable? This election is going to be about who the public dislikes the least! It's no wonder why the country is becoming a nation of apathy. Clinton & Trump is like choosing between cancer and a stroke. 

Phil Knights biography, "Shoe Dog" is a total winner. Real hard to put this one down….DJ Bob Miller dropped by to say hello the other day. He is the best storyteller around. He said, "Well I will let you be and get back to whatever your doing"….I replied, "stay and tell another story"

Oh! Forgot to plug the address of The Fireside Grill. It's 8136 SW Hall Blvd (tucked behind off Hall) this place is worth searching out and making a wrong turn for. Sad sack Mayor Fails can't wait to make his exit. He makes Sam Adams look good. Seriously, is that possible? Teddy Wheeler is our next Mayor. This guy is a smart politician. Starting May 1st I will be posting a daily photo from the Oregon primary of 1968. I have some dandies. 

I stopped at an open house that was for sale in Lake Oswego. Shoes had to come off in the entry. I counted 28 pairs. The listing was less than 48 hours on the market with 14 offers. It ended up selling way over the asking price. Have you noticed realtors are picking up on Southern California's idea of posting COMING SOON signs? This market is on fire. 

Very sad to see a KOIN news story on folks giving up their pets due to greedy landlords raising rents through the roof and new landlords asking for the moon in pet deposits or no pets allowed. The animal shelters are filling up. Heartbreaking story.
