Tobias Read worked at one time for Nike. I couldn't get to first base fishing around what happened there, so lets say he quit on good terms to be a political hack. Is that fair? Today Tobias is all in for Measure 97, the greatest tax theft in Oregon history. Tobias Read is running for Oregon State Treasurer. I will be voting for Jeff Gudman. This tax will drench not only large corporations but the other 99% too. YOU & ME. The tax is on GROSS sales, meaning many companies will close their doors. Powell's Books is a good example. Everyone will be paying MORE for insurance on their cars and homes, gas, electricity, food, basic services and more. Politicians like Read can spend the billions they steal anyway they please. Tobias should read the op-ed piece by Stephen Beaudoin (Board chair of the school district) who clearly states this measure fails every test of reason. It's a shame Tobias Read never made a personal payroll.
