I miss Roses on 23rd so much, it was my go-to place. I remember going there after seeing a play and at midnight it was packed.
There was no place in Portland that smelled as good as the Old Roese' on 23rd. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water.

Mom and dad used to talk about Rose's in the late 40s, when they'd moved to Portland, I discovered their heavenly goods in the 70s.. Such a loss...

As of Friday (12-30-2016), there will be no Jewish delis in midtown New York City. The Carnegie Deli will close then.
I think the dietary habits of Americans no longer include huge sandwiches and fat laden desserts.
