When do cities celebrate the opening of a new car dealer? This was a huge event! It happened then and my family was there.
My younger brother got yelled at by Lorne for standing on the hood of a new Corvair Convertible next to the stage. Ha Ha! A fun day at 122nd and Burnside.

I always wondered where they got polyester for clothes back in the 1800s, when Bonanza was based...

Polyester plants used to grow naturally, but with the destruction of the environment due to the western movement, the plants became extinct. Happily it only took a couple of decades to develop synthetic polyester.
