The M&F Building was placed on the National Register in 1982 so the façade will remain little changed. Otherwise, The Historic Landmarks Commission has approved an interesting interior remodel. The ground floor will be subdivided into five retail spaces and a lobby for the upstairs office space.
The Hotel Nines will continue to occupy the upper floors. All in all, it's a better use of much of the space that Macy's had turned into storage.
