85 going on 18, Tom Hekker was one of a kind. Tom traveled the world on a sail boat, ran with the bulls in his 70s, traveled on a bike in Israel, won the Rose Cup in auto racing, loved to enjoy a good cigar and Scotch, had a super loving relationship with his wife Claire who gave them 10 kids. After passing from Alzheimer’s, Tom traveled the country in a van to see old friends. He made a friend everywhere he traveled. I forgot to mention he recreated the Lewis & Clark trail in his 70s. Tom Hekker was one of a kind.
Sounds like quite the guy Dave, especially traveling the country and visiting old friends after passing from Alzheimer's. That's really quite the feat. RIP.

Uncle Tom, We will always remember you fondly and with much love. You always had such a great sense of humor and adventure. You will be sadly missed. I’m sure Aunt Claire will be SO happy to see you again. You are together again forever!❤️
With love,
Kerry
