The house they used was the Sigma Nu House, home of the Sigmanures. It has been torn down in the intervening 40 years.

I beg to differ.
The 'Animal House' house was between the Sigma Nus and another house - the one that played the part of the Omega house. That small house was, in my days at Oregon, used as a home for paroled convicts that were going to UofO.
My frat, Kappa Sigma, was next to the Sigma Nu house. We traded a lot of insults across the fence. The Kappa Sigma House is now an admin building for Northwest Christian University. It never made any shots in Animal House because it was a classic mid-century modern building - TOO modern for a small New England campus.
