well at least we can all agree on this one! saw him at many beavers games, even throwing out the first ball! he loved baseball and Portland! sad nothing compares to him in the last 25 years!
I am shocked, but I find myself in thorough agreement! Our homeless problem, gangs, etc, were nowhere near what theyve become. Housing wasnt !$)). and up for a sewer studio. The size where if you wish to change your mind, you need to step out.
In our society, you get what you vote for. While I don't hold Bud Clark in the esteem of many on this site, I will agree that he was a better mayor than any who have succeeded him.
Nonetheless, Ted Wheeler is Mayor of Portland because an overwhelming number of Portland voters supported him. Same goes for Hales, Adams, and Katz. The same goes for Goldschidt, Ivancie and Shrunk.
Portland really ought to think about why it has such trouble finding decent mayors. And why a barkeep who liked to holler "Whoop. Whoop." is so revered. And, let's not forget that it was Bud Clark's 12-Point Homeless Plan that gave us many of the problems Portland has today.

Portland started its downhill slide after Bud left office. With Wheeler as mayor its in an out of control downward spiral to the sewer....
