I remember the Store. It had a mezzanine as I recall, also it seems to my recollection that Gill tried to sell TVs and displayed them up on the mezzanine where home on leave I viewed Cronkite reporting JFK's Death. My Commander in Chief, dead. Gill closed the old Store and moved to 2nd Av. My brother worked for Gill until he retired. He LOVED selling office supplies!!

I think it was the main place to buy books back in the day. Though there was a bookstore across from the library on 10th, specializing in paperbacks. I can't remember the name of it. Brian Thomas?
