Are we sure this was the building torn down for Nordstroms. Even from the side it doesn't look like it to me.

On the Broadway side was Orpheum Theater and south corner was a tiny Hostess House kind of lunch counter and what ever that huge thing is at the top I don't remember ever seeing that unless it was put up for the demolition.

I dont recall this one, although I didnt spend a lot of time downtown, I did enjoy identifying the various styles of architecture..

What is shown in this photo is the Royal Building on SW Broadway. The Orpheum Theater was on the left side, and had already been demolished when this photo was taken. Both buildings were located on SW Broadway between SW Yamhill & SW Morrison.
