For those who don't (or can't) remember, West Burnside used to be known as "Auto Row." They even had matching "Auto Row" signs on all of the dealerships. One of the big deals every fall was to go down to "Auto Row" for the unveiling of the new models.

They had WWII searchlights in front of every dealership and drew huge crowds to come in and see the new models. On the west side, we could see the lights climbing into the sky and swirling around above the West Hills. It was quite the show every year when the new models came out just after Labor Day.

Hires root beer!!!Love the old signage like that, too bad they havent been maintained, and continued...
