From a time when to go "downtown" meant that men wore hats and women wore gloves.

These gentlemen may not be Shriners. Since 1872 the Shriners have worn the FEZ on their heads, and I do not see a single FEZ on any of these men. I have seen lots of parades in Portland where Shriners marched, and they always wore a FEZ.

Back when downtown was a destination... I want the car second from left!!! Shoot, Id have any, but....

The "first" car, from left, is a 1942 Chev Fleetline Aerosedan. Next is late 1930's Plymouth, possibly Dodge. Then 1941 Chev coupe. Finally 1940 Ford.
All neat cars in one regard or another.

Thankyou, Bill, I am a major old car fan, my dream is a '55 Ford Custom Cab 1/2 ton pickup, 12 v conversion, but as stock as possible.. almost bought one years ago, but it was a Mopar, with a Ford body.. pfffft.. we were a Mopar household, and even dad gagged at it..
