My mom and dad's square dance club used to go to a beachside place in Gearhart called the Ocean House a couple of times a year. But since they'd go in November and February, there wasn't much for the kids to do, so they'd pack us all up and send us to Seaside for the Saturday afternoon matinee at the Times Theatre.
50-cents would buy a ticket, a soda, and a bag of popcorn. I saw a lot of movies there. Oh, and there was no pub then. This picture was a long time ago.
I didn't know the new Times theater and pub is a revival of an old theater on that site. You can see it on the right side of the street.
