Two great local wrestlers.. I saw many card with the two of them, at the old Portland Sports Arena..was also at the arena when Lonies tragig death was announced, and the following card for his memorial. Im sure they are still wrestling in the Other Side..

In the really OLD days, when my dad and I were working out at Loprinzi's, Dutch and Lonnie and most all the other Portland Wrestling greats worked out there also. Those were great times when Sam Loprinzi a 1946 Mr. America 2nd place finisher, ran a great "old school" gym before all the modern glitter gyms.
Dutch, Lonnie, Tony Borne, Buddy Rose, Jimmy Snuka and many other names I can't recall were all great guys who entertained us years ago.

Never met Buddy Rose, but ran into Dutch, Lonnie, Tony, Rodddy, and a few others often, after bouts, andone of the "baddies" bought me a six pack, my munchies, and all, then opened my car door, made sure I took off ok, and all, from a Plaid Pantry after a bout one night. cant recall his name, but he demanded he be allowed to do so. nice guys!!!
