he had a knack for selling the less popular name brands like fisher and muntz, Lloyds emerson, very low end stuff for very cheap prices, my parents bought a stereo (fisher) back in the early 80's only the turntable still works. because it was rarely used.

Fisher invented component music systems (Hi-Fi at the time). It sold to Emerson in 1969 and that was the beginning of the end. Emerson eventually sold to Japanese brand Sanyo, which in turn was sold to Panasonic, but Fisher had been phased out by then.
