My mom loved Goldberg's Reuben sandwiches. When the family would make the trip cross-town to Lloyd Center, Mom would have to make a stop at Goldberg's. She'd buy a Rueben to go and they'd wrap it in butcher paper. She'd take it home, divide it into quarters and enjoy it for several days. No one else in the family liked Ruebens.
I loved Mr C's Hippopotamus!! Dont recall Goldbergs, was it a real Jewish deli? I so wish there was a couple in town.. I miss Rose's....
