In 1967 my mother and sister took Trailways from Phoenix, Arizona to Portland. It was a long distance bus experience I would never enjoy again.

Trailways buses are used by Amtrak on routes and times when the train doesnt run. I used to have to travel to Salem every two weeks to see my child, who was in a group home type there, and the ride was pleasant. Unlike tiny, cramped Greyhound, which put me out for two days, so hard on my back.
