The Ranger sort of resembles Lee Marvin, I believe.. good bars.

Curtiss candy the makes of Baby Ruth and Butterfingers sponsored the show and appearing here is William Parker, who played Jace Pearson on the TV show.

Harry Lauter played Pearson's partner Ranger Clay Morgan. Lauter had made his career playing 'B' movie bad guys. Pearson was played by Willard (not William) Parker -- birth name: Worster Von Eps -- who made his career playing good looking 'B' movie roles.

The show lasted for three seasons from 1955 to 1958 (52 episodes). One week the Rangers would be in a car solving a present-day crime, the next week they'd be on horseback dealing with Old West crime.

The theme was "The Eyes of Texas" with re-worked lyrics. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2F4K7nbcgs

Notice that the character names are given in the opening credits. The actor names are nowhere to be found. Like many of the early TV shows, Tales of the Texas Rangers had been preceded by a radio series starring different actors.
