Their story and that of the Portland Mavericks is in the documentary “The Bombastic Bastards of Baseball” on Netflix.
It’s a great view of Portland in the 70’s.

Had a friend who literally ran into Kurt in a not for fans area at the stadium, post game once.. wasnt a Mavs game, but he was there...really sweet guy, and gorgeous!!!!

Watch 'the Battered Bastards of Baseball' on Netflix--great old-time film of the Mavericks season.
Old Duck

For those who haven't seen it, I can't recommend enough the Netflix Documentary, 'The Battered Bastards of Baseball'. It's the story of the Mavericks. I believe it was produced by Kurt's cousins. Fantastic.

Dang! It almost makes me want to subscribe to Netflix.

Joel, Ive thought about it, myself.. maybe Ill find this one elsewhere, and share the info with you..
