I remember the pie shop, I had a rental property a couple blocks away, I was always hoping the renters rent would be late so I could pick it up and go to the pie shop for lunch. I had a 68 Dodge Charger... wish I still had it. Living in Sun Lakes AZ now. Too much golf down here..lol

Didn't almost everyone know this place as QP?

QP was one of the places the ad hoc committee of Portland evening DJs used to meet during the early morning hours after we all got off at midnight...except the KGW jock (I can't remember his name) who got off at 2 AM. Sometimes the KGW 6 -10 PM jock would also show, but he was an irregular attendee.

QP wasn't the most frequent meeting place, that was the Denny's across from the KGW studios on Jefferson. QP Was probably every three weeks or so.

Back in those days venturing down 23rd was almost like venturing onto Skid Road, although Cleveland HS girlfriend DB did live in an apartment (renovated old house) at 23 and Johnson. It's now one of those glitzy 23rd Avenue shops.

Cigarettes and pie!

It was also a place to score if that was your thing.
