yep, those were the days. that place had it all! so sad what it looks like now!

What has happened to such a wonderful place is an outrage, an atrocity. It isnt even a mall now, its a pile of waste. Wasnt a bad mall,in the early days, but it would never compete with the Beach park.

Thanks, john.. I think a lot of troubled kids now in the Portland area woudnt be so bad, if they had Jantzen Beach to hang out in, rather than a bunch of bs malls. We didnt turn out so bad, we had the Beach, and parents from the Depression era who instilled decency and manners into us.. mine had a very handily whipped off leather belt as a persuader, I felt it more than a few times..
