I remember it well. Very sad premise. The woman with the best sob story - as measured by audience applause - got a new household appliance of some kind. Imagine pitching that show in 2020.

I used to watch it as a child, guess the sob story passed right by... but I remember choosing my favourites.

Me too. I have no idea what it was I liked about it perhaps it was on just before a show I really liked.

One of my all-time favorite shows. Far better material than the Soaps that followed it.
Jack was a true Master of Ceremony.

Thanks OTF! My first choice was Beetle but at the last minute I went with Bob and NOW I know I should of gone with Jack!

daniel, I think some test patterns and infomercials rate higher than soaps.
