Where are they now? What station back in the day, here? If they werent KISN, small wonder they left...Im prejudiced!

Dick Sainte and Doug Dahlgren were the morning team on WCFL radio in Chicago, at the time the #2 market in the country. LA wasn't named the nation's second largest until 1984. Sainte and Dahlgren did the AM drive on 'CFL from the fall of 1974 until the station made the switch to "Beautiful music" in March 1976.

Dick did the radio bit and traveled all over the country doing radio, including an early stint at KISN. He also worked at a number of legendary Top 40 stations including KHJ in Los Angeles, KFRC in San Francisco, and KGB San Diego before heading to Chicago.

I worked with him doing the mornings on KWJJ when it was the top rated adult station in Portland in 1981 or '82. He already had his problems and in his mid-40s Dick was already on the way down the career ladder. Dick Sainte died at the VA home in The Dalles in 2005 at age 67.

Doug Dahlgren did the morning show on KUPL from 1987 to 1995. Then he worked at KWJJ and KEX. He's now retired and living back in the Chicago area. WCFL was also the pinnacle of his career.

I recall KWJJ, dads favourite station.. I delivered a March of Dimes promo tape there once, ages ago.. Dahlgren is a familiar name, too, just couldnt recall where, guess it was radio.. Dick, RIP.. sad, we dont have good radio like we did back then, too much trash now. Almost like Twitter and Facebook, garbage..
